The Zhu Zhu Pets Starter Gift Set is just that, it sets you up if you have not already gotten
hold of a few of the lovable hamster (what have you been doing these past few months !)
The starter kits includes the pets hamster funhouse. This is the base kit for if you
plan to create a hamster home. In brief, it includes two circular, see through plastic domes that have exit holes
and connecting tunnels. They can be joined together with connecting tunnels or can stand freely apart.
Each plastic dome has a number of rooms in it. For example, there is a kitchen, a studio, a bedroom and
bathroom. There are tracks that run throughout the rooms allowing the hamsters to get around and do little odds and
ends. This is the principle that all the other accessories work on too. The Hamsters can run along the tracks and,
based on the individual hamster will do different things and make different sounds.
The starter pack includes a bed and blanket so that you can furnish (minimally it has to be said) your funhouse.
Watch your hamster sleep at night time. Tuck him/her in at night before sleeping so that they do not get cold with
a supplied blanket.
The final accessory is adventure ball. Place your hamster in the ball and watch it fly around the room. A
smaller, rattling ball adds a few more extra sounds to the adventure.
Of course the starter kit would be useless, if you didn't have a hamster to play in all the new toys. So
this kit includes one hamster to get things started. Collect a few more and a few more accessories to build a super
hamster city. Keep them busy and happy with a slide, wheel and garage.
The hamster and the blanket color is selected at random, so you might end up with Mr Squiggles, Num Nums,
Pipsqueek or Chunk.
Meet The Pets – Chunk
Chunk is one of four Zhu Zhu Pets Hamsters available. New
characters are in the pipeline apparently, including possibly a pink hamster – sure to be very popular. With
this said, currently the characters are Num Nums, Mr Squiggles, Pipsqueek and Chunk to play with.
Chunk has his own distinct personality along with his unique look. He is a white hamster. He has white fur and
ears. He has a sunshine pattern on his back, no doubt a symbol of his personality.
He is described as a laid back surfer dude of a hamster. He like to hang out at the beach (or in the sun if
there is no beach). He is often associated with the Pets hamster surfboard and skateboard accessories. He loves to
surf and not take things too seriously. If he's not trying to catch a wave then he's catching some zeds in the
bedroom.
